Tariffs, Duties & Import Fees
Products labeled “Tariff Free [CA/US]” are exempt from United States tariffs currently imposed by the U.S. administration.
This designation does not guarantee exemption from other applicable import duties, taxes, or customs fees, which remain the responsibility of the customer.
Importer of Record
The U.S. importer of record is legally responsible for paying tariffs to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP)upon import, typically before the goods are released.
Payment is generally handled electronically or via check.
While the importer pays the government directly, the final cost is frequently passed on to U.S. consumers or businesses purchasing imported goods.
Legal Clarification
Tariffs (also known as customs duties) are legally paid by the importer of record to U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
The importer of record is typically:
-
the U.S. buyer
-
the owner or purchaser of the goods
-
or their licensed agent (such as a customs broker)
A common misconception is that the foreign exporting company pays the tariffs directly to the U.S. government. In most cases, this is not accurate unless explicitly agreed upon within the purchase contract.
Example
For U.S. buyers purchasing from Premier Sim, any tariffs are paid by the buyer of the products.
Premier Sim will:
-
sell the product
-
collect payment for the product, taxes, and shipping
-
ship the product to the buyer
However, before U.S. Customs and Border Protection releases the shipment, any applicable tariffs must be paid by the buyer.
If the tariff is not paid, the shipment may be returned to Premier Sim or disposed of by customs authorities. In such cases, the order will not be refunded.
Refused Shipments
If you refuse delivery of your shipment and the items are returned to Premier Sim headquarters in Florida, you will receive a refund equal to 80% of the invoiced goods.
Premier Sim does not reimburse any shipping fees, customs charges, or tariffs applied by the carrier.
Order Modifications
Once an order has been fulfilled, Premier Sim cannot guarantee any order modifications.
After a package is marked “Out for Delivery,” shipping address changes can no longer be processed.
Processing & Fulfillment Time
Our typical lead time for order processing, fulfillment, and shipping is 5–7 business days.
This timeline may vary depending on:
-
the products purchased
-
current order volume
-
shipping queue
During high-volume periods (such as holidays or major promotions), processing times may be extended.
If this occurs, current lead times will be clearly communicated through a website banner or notification.
Transit Time
Once shipped, transit time typically ranges between 2–7 business days, depending on destination.
White Glove Delivery & Installation
Premier Sim offers a White Glove service designed to deliver a seamless, fully tailored experience. Pricing varies based on delivery location.
Our White Glove service includes professional delivery.
A Premier Sim technician will then install your simulator, ensuring every component is properly configured and calibrated. The system is then adjusted to your exact preferences—optimizing seating position, controls, and overall ergonomics.
The result is a simulator that is not just installed, but dialed in and ready to perform from the moment you sit down.
Recommended for Endurance and Bespoke builds.
Multi-Package Shipments
Large items such as:
-
simulator chassis
-
monitor stands
-
racing seats
may ship separately from smaller components.
Due to their size and weight, these packages may be sorted differently at our shipping partner’s logistics hub and may arrive on different days.
Use Tax
Premier Sim does not cover Use Tax obligations that may apply in certain U.S. states.
When an online retailer does not collect sales tax for an item delivered to a state with applicable tax requirements, the purchaser may be responsible for Use Tax.
Use Tax applies to the use, storage, or consumption of purchased goods within a state.
California is one of the most common states where Use Tax reporting requirements apply.
